Associate Director

Based in Buro Happold’s Warsaw office, Zbigniew leads the structural engineering team and is responsible for structural projects in the Central Europe Region. He has nearly fifteen years experience in the design and comprehensive project management of retail and multifunctional buildings as well as cultural and educational projects. Zbigniew graduated from the Civil Engineering Faculty at the Warsaw University of Technology. Among his clients are Hochtief Development, AIG/Lincoln, DTZ and Helical. He was involved in prestigious projects in Poland, such as high-rise building Q22 and Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, Contemporary Museum in Wroclaw and Polish Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010.

Designed by FOROOM architects, the new Piotrkowska Street tram stop is a striking and elegant addition to the historical city centre of Łódź. Conceived as a steel structure featuring an intricate geometry and incorporating a roof constructed from panels of coloured glass, an innovative engineering solution was required to bring the plan to life.
