Stuart is a Chartered Engineer to profession and joined Buro Happold in August 2011 as Office Director, Principal for Scotland.

Stuart has gained a wealth of valuable experience in the construction and property industry over the years and has been responsible for overseeing the design and construction management of a wide range of challenging projects.

Stuart has also gained a sound knowledge of the built and social environment across many leading sectors and previous experience has seen him involved in several award winning and prestigious developments.

He has had ultimate responsibility for multi discipline project leadership, design delivery, technical compliance, project fees and financial performance across the core engineering disciplines.
Over the last decade Stuart have gained firsthand experience in the field of PFI/PPP as an executive team member on a number of multi million pound projects throughout the UK.

Stuart has in depth knowledge and a thorough understanding of civil & structural engineering, buildings, infrastructure, sustainable materials, modern methods of construction and 3d CAD/Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Stuart is a registered Approved Certifier with the Structural Engineers Registration Scheme (SER Ltd) and also holds the registration for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme, CSCS Managers for Health & Safety.
