Steve Brown

With a wealth of experience amassed working in the Middle East and China, Steve was recently appointed as Managing Director for Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa and to spearhead the region’s development and growth.

New Zealander Steve joined our London office in Newman Street in 1994 and was soon heading up one of two structural engineering groups as group director before being invited to become a Principal in 2000.

Steve’s approach to the design of buildings and other structures is very ‘hands on’: clients appreciate his insight and passion for delivering innovative structural solutions and exceptional leadership skills. He believes that building engineering should be a people focused, technically driven community that mixes communication, a clear understanding of building physics and creative thinking together to provide high levels of excellence.

Steve’s services to engineering have also been recognised: he has been awarded silver medals from both the Royal Academy of Engineering and IABSE for his contributions to engineering.
