Robert Okpala

Robert has over 20 years experience of working within a design consultancy environment on a variety of projects including commercial office, residential, leisure, education, cultural, healthcare and aviation. The last 5 of these years have been focussed on projects within the Middle East (ME) Region.

Robert has particular expertise in leading multidisciplinary engineering design teams working on projects that require good integration between client requirements and architectural design to achieve best overall value. He is a keen supporter of sustainable design and the appropriate use of low carbon and renewable technologies that contribute to the growing sustainability initiatives within the Middle East region.

Robert’s experience includes a variety of state-of-the-art projects in the UK and worldwide, with a particular focus in the Middle East. Current/ recent projects involved in include work at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi Media Zone, Abu Dhabi (400,000m2 Media/ Mixed Use Facility); Ibn Hani Resort, Syria; Estidama Sustainable Design Framework for Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council, Masdar City, Project 1.
