John is a former UK Fire Service Station Officer who served with Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service for 27 years. There he fulfilled a number of roles in addition to that of an operational command officer including, accident investigation, retained station liaison and Fire Service National Benevolent Fund secretary.
He moved from the Fire Service to Kingfell Consulting (Waterloo, London) in June 2006 where he worked on projects such as; Palace of Westminster, Gatwick Airport South Terminal and numerous London Underground and over ground rail stations.
After gaining a Fire Engineering degree from the University of Central Lancashire John moved in November 2007 to Locke Carey Fire safety Consultancy in Dubai. He managed Locke Carey’s business in both their Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices and worked on projects such as Dubai International Airport T1, Sir Bani Yas Island, The World Islands and several other hotel developments.
John joined Buro Happold in December 2010 as an Associate Fire Engineer and have since worked on numerous projects in Qatar and KSA and the Baku Airport New Terminal project in Azerbaijan.
