Ian Booth

Regional Director for Poland

Since 2009, Ian has been a board member and the director of Buro Happold’s Warsaw office, responsible for the professional development of the engineering staff, for business development and the relationships with key customers. He personally supervises the work on strategic projects, during both the project’s concept design and final stages; he also manages multi-disciplinary projects. In his role as Building Services team leader he is in charge of developing design services within the Central Europe region. Under his direction, Buro Happold has broadened its scope of activities offering sustainable design, and environmental certification using BREEAM, LEED and DGNB rating systems. A graduate of the University of Northumbria in Newcastle, Ian has over 20 years of experience in a wide range of projects including industrial, commercial, retail and residential and he specializes in Building Management Systems (BMS). Ian’s clients include Mace, CDI, Gillette, Valeo, ING Real Estate and AIG/ Lincoln. Since joining BH in 2007 Ian has been involved in the design and management of large projects in CE Europe including new British Embassy and new venue of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
