Jeremy Snyder is a partner at Buro Happold responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design of innovative and sustainable projects.

Jeremy joined Buro Happold in 2003 where he has worked on complex large and small scale projects around the United States and the world. Collaborating with clients, architects, engineers and contractors, Jeremy advocates for a truly integrated design and construction process. He promotes designs that are future ready, resilient, with maintainability, comfort and occupant efficiency in mind.

With nearly two decades of experience in high performance building and campus design, Jeremy is able to make smart, informed decisions with clients and architects that make for a better, more sustainable project. As a registered professional engineer in states througout the United States, Jeremy brings his expertise on projects in different regions and varying sectors.

Jeremy graduated with a Masters and Bachelors of Architectural Engineering from Penn State University. After starting at WSP early in his career, he worked in BuroHappold’s New York office until 2013 when he moved to Pittsburgh to finish work on The Tower at PNC Plaza and further grow BuroHappold’s great breadth and depth of work in Pittsburgh, the Mid-Atlantic and the Midwest.

His understanding of the industry has allowed him to speak frequently at conferences, such as the Mascaro Center for Sustainability and the ASHRAE High Performance Building Conference, the AIA, and more. He has lectured at higher education universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia University, The Pratt Institute, Parson’s New School, and the University of Pittsburgh.

Some of his recent notable projects are the Pittsburgh International Airport Terminal Modernization, Scaife Hall at Carnegie Mellon University, The Roundhouse at Hazelwood Green, One PNC Plaza in Pittsburgh, the James Building at Penn State, and Capital Crossing in Washington DC.
