Head of Infrastructure
Bob Tong is a Chartered Civil Engineer with 18 years experience of planning, designing and delivering a wide range of development projects across the UK and overseas.
Throughout his career Bob has played a leading role in the delivery of several major developments including Ascot Racecourse Redevelopment and the London 2012 Olympics. He has extensive experience of both infrastructure design and construction.
Bob currently leads the infrastructure group at BuroHappold, and is responsible for the management and leadership of the infrastructure teams in London and Bath.
The infrastructure group delivers integrated highway, landscape/landform, drainage and utilities engineering solutions from masterplanning through to detailed design and construction.
Bob is actively involved in project delivery and is passionate about producing elegant, economic and sustainable engineering solutions.
He is currently Project Director for a number of Legacy projects within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the International Quarter at Stratford, Elephant and Castle Heygate Estate Regeneration, King Abudullah Economic City (KSA) and Seri Tanjung Penang (Malaysia).
