Dubai CAV design sprint

The Dubai Design Sprint took place at our Buro Happold office and brought together the interdisciplinary teams consisting of university students, urban planners, architects, engineers, transport consultants, and government representatives.

Dubai aspires to become the world’s smartest city and achieve a more sustainable economy. Other key drivers for the introduction of autonomous and connected vehicles are reducing the current levels of congestions and the improvement of mobility for the disabled. The city also sees the introduction of CAVs as an opportunity to complement the public transport system, especially for neighbourhoods that are not served by the existing metro lines.
