From the 19th to the 21st of June BuroHappold partner InnoZ will host the UN high level dialogue on Sustainable Cities and Transport, in Berlin. This event is a follow up to the Rio+20 conference and will bring together proven solutions on sustainable transport and urban development, identify good and best practices in this area, and facilitate capacity building through national and international exchanges of information and experiences between relevant practitioners, experts and policy makers, particularly from developing countries. The outcomes will be part of a document created by a high level working group within the UN, underlining the potential role of the UN in the field of sustainable transport.

BuroHappold is co-sponsoring this event and will also provide insights into the practice's current, relevant projects. Lawrie Robertson, partner and head of Strategic Planning, will elaborate on how transforming cities can foster responsive and affordable mobility, showing BuroHappold’s work in Detroit and Berlin.

The event is organised by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).
