Power in Space; Transforming history

Buro Happold and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBS) are hosting an international conference, Power in Space, at the famous Bath Abbey on Thursday 20 October 2011.

The day will be spent listening to and discussing the transformation of historic buildings into places for contemporary culture. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with the medieval Abbey's physical presence, using materials, light and sound to create a sensory and intellectual experience to remember.

The ever expanding list of interesting and exciting speakers from the world of theatre design and procurement and already includes architects Eric Parry, Steve Tompkins, Liza Fior, project directors from the Tate and the RSC, and international guests working in Versailles and Venice.

In addition Buro Happold’s Mike Cook and Peter Clegg from FCBS will be talking about the transformative power of space.
