Perot Museum of Nature and Science nears completion

Designed by architectural practice Morphosis, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas is approaching the final stages of construction and this latest image from the site highlights the progress to date.

Buro Happold is the MEP consultant on the project and has integrated into the building design a water recycling system that collects storm water run-off and air conditioning condensate into two large cisterns located underground. The system has been designed to reduce the building’s potable water consumption by over 50% by re-using the captured water for irrigation, toilet flushing and cooling tower make-up water.

Upon completion in 2012, the project will achieve a LEED Gold certification
