Manchester’s newest and most iconic office building has picked up yet another award celebrating its inspired approach to sustainability, operational efficiency, space flexibility and high quality - the BREEAM 2013 Office award.

The first building to receive a BREEAM Outstanding rating, One Angel Square has also recently achieved honours at the Property awards, the RICS, the Building awards, the Regeneration and Renewal awards  and the Green Apple awards.

Project principal for One Angel Square, Mark Phillip said  “The award represents a fantastic achievement and underlines the Co-operative’s commitment to sustainability. Throughout the design and construction, the whole project team have worked collectively to deliver a building that reflects the original vision and sets a new benchmark for sustainable office design”.

Completed at the end of 2012 the building is now in use with the total work force of 3,500 moving in by summer 2013. The building forms the centre piece of NOMA, an £800m mixed-use development scheme on 20 acres.
