Following on from winning the coveted Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2012 Award for Best Sustainable Development in April, the SKMC has now won the WAN Healthcare Award 2012 for a project under construction.

Conceived as ‘three hospitals under one roof', the new SKMC will be a 300,000m², 850 bed medical complex that combines  a general hospital with a level 1 trauma centre and tertiary women's and paediatric hospitals.

The medical city, designed for SEHA, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2016.
