Buro Happold in Bath and the South West

In Bath, we bring our global expertise home. Since 1976, our people have delivered highly prestigious projects such as the Millennium Dome, the Olympic Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Louvre Abu Dhabi from our South West office. This international experience helps us shape the success of businesses and organisations in Bristol, Bath and beyond, accelerating growth across the region.

We are proud of the contribution we make to the South West’s built environment and communities. We have a reputation for delivering excellent higher education facilities, as well as facilitating the growth of the science and technology sector in the South West, especially in relation to green technologies. We have worked with Bristol University, Wessex Water, Dyson, Westonbirt Arboretum, Royal United Hospital, B&NES, Bath Abbey and Kingswood School to name a few, providing them with state-of-the-art facilities and sustainable and stunning buildings.

With around 500 staff across 30 disciplines, Buro Happold’s Bath office acts as an international design hub, leading on key global initiatives and organisational change. With a huge breadth of specialisms based here, our teams take on the most complex and challenging projects, putting us at a regional advantage above our competitors.

Buro Happold Bath continues to fight the climate emergency, working towards zero operational and embodied carbon in both project and advisory work. We are increasingly helping clients meet their key ESG targets around decarbonisation and climate change. Across all sectors and projects, Buro Happold’s engineers design district heating solutions, undertake embodied carbon studies, implement decarbonisation strategies, and promote brownfield regeneration, retrofit and MMC techniques.
