Manchester

Established in 1999, the Manchester office offers a conduit into the North West market for the multidisciplinary engineering expertise and consultancy services which Buro Happold offer.  The office’s design hub provides the collaborative environment which has been the catalyst for the success of the many projects it has delivered, primarily in the local marketplace but also internationally.

Our engineers are proud to be contributing to the public and private development happening throughout the North West and have a full appreciation of the local drivers relating to socially, environmentally and economically sustainable regeneration and development, with strategic consultancy as much a key part as the engineering delivery.

With a breadth of experience in all sectors, there has been a particular emphasis on education work: Stockport, Darwen, Immingham, Liverpool Kensington, Manchester, Swindon and Salford City Academies; ongoing work at The University of Salford and involvement with Lancaster and also Manchester University on both their academic buildings & cultural facilities; as well as the BSF programmes for Hull, Barnsley and Derby.

Other Buro Happold projects in the North West include the Mersey Tidal Power Study, No 1 New York Street, Mint Hotels, Mostyn Gallery Llandudno, Peoples History Museum, St Paul’s Regeneration Development, Liverpool Museum, University of Salford Faculty of Law, The Echo Arena Liverpool, The Lowry Centre and Holloway Circus.

Find out more about our services by contacting the local office, or speak to one of our specialists.
