The recent Scottish Design Awards ceremony was a night to remember for multidisciplinary engineering consultancy Buro Happold, as they notched up an enviable total of eight awards for projects based in Scotland and Ireland.
The consultancy’s work on the new Wexford County Council offices in Ireland proved popular with the judges, winning both the coveted Chairman’s Award for Architecture, and the Commercial/Office Building or Project award. The building which has achieved BREEAM Excellent, is no stranger to plaudits, having also won the International Project category at the recent Civic Trust award.
Buro Happold also received the Engineering Design prize for another greatly lauded project, Glasgow’s Riverside Museum, for which the consultancy delivered both the structural and building services design.
