Once you’ve completed your application form you will be emailed a username and password for the Buro Happold Application System, so that you can keep a close eye on your application’s progress. As part of our selection process we may also telephone you to discuss the information on your application form.

  • Do make note of our initial application closing dates and ensure you submit your application in time. The application form will take approx 1 hour to complete

  • Do take your time to fill in all the questions
  • Do copy and paste your responses into our form
  • Do print out your completed application form for your own future reference
  • Don't leave your uncompleted application without saving it first.
  • Don't spend hours thinking about your responses whilst connected to the Internet, print the pages and think about your responses off-line. You may need to refer back to this if you are invited to interview.
  • Don't submit your application unless you are completely satisfied with it and you have answered all the relevant questions.

The interview

If you are invited for interview, remember: it’s an opportunity, not an interrogation! It’s as much a chance for us to sell Buro Happold to you, as it is for you to introduce and sell yourself to us. You will also be able to spend time with graduates who joined us the previous year, so you can hear from the horse’s mouth what life at Buro Happold is really like!

You will be asked to bring along examples of work developed during your university course. We find this is a great way to get you talking about what you have been doing and for us to ask questions. Above all, we want to see and hear your passion and enthusiasm, your desire and ambition.
