You might say that the essence of Buro Happold is collaboration.

There is no room for ego or glory hunting in any part of our business. Our most senior engineers submit themselves for regular design crit’s by their peers…whose invited? Everyone. Engineers and non-engineers alike. All levels of experience are encouraged, and cajoled into challenging and enquiring about all aspects of our work.

This level of openness stretches throughout our business and sets the tone for how we work with clients, collaborators, society - everyone.

This approach, this obsession with finding the optimum solution and once it’s been found finding ways in which it can be improved. This openness to asking what if and challenging convention defines us. It defines us and it leads us to ever more challenging work for which we can find ever more efficient, effective and elegant solutions.
