Steve Brown

Born 1959. Studied civil and structural engineering at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. Steve began his career in New Zealand, moving to the UK after a year travelling around the Far East. He began his career at Buro Happold in 1994, joining our London office. He soon headed up one of the two Structural engineering groups as group director and was invited to become a Principal in 2000. He is also a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Steve's constructive and energetic approach to engineering makes him a lively character to work with. The engineers in his group are always encouraged to approach each project with equal enthusiasm. His own dedication and enthusiasm are always apparent; invaluable in enabling him to communicate his ideas to all parties involved in a project. Clients are always keen to work with Steve knowing that their project will never take a back seat; he provides each project with an injection of insight that is unparalleled. Clients and other professionals alike enjoy his candid good humour making him an easy and enjoyable person to work with.
