Rod Manson
BSc(Hons) CEng MCIBSE MEI MIET

Born 1965. Studied engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Rod began his career with Buro Happold after graduating in 1987. He has worked in our Bath, London, Saudi Arabia, Dusseldorf and Glasgow offices and as resident engineer on site in West Sussex and Livingston. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, Institute of Energy and the Institution of Electrical Engineers.

Rod's years of experience have covered a variety of projects both large and small, from new build, to conservation, to refurbishment and design appraisals. It is this wealth of experience and his ability to make strategic decisions wisely that led to him opening up our Glasgow office in 1996. Since then, thanks to his dedication to the success of any project he takes on, Buro Happold is firmly established in the Scottish construction industry. Rod, as a true Scot, is known for his outstanding hospitality, which extends from the social to the business environment. His approach to engineering is often seen as 'no nonsense', enabling him to achieve high value, low cost designs to short procurement programs. Clients and colleagues alike enjoy working with Rod, knowing that in his hands an outstanding result will be met, with equally outstanding celebrations!
