Tanya Ross is a building services engineer by background, but a varied career over 18 years in the construction industry – all of them with Buro Happold – has seen her fulfil roles in cost management, project management, as director of learning and development and as press and PR manager. She also belonged to the sustainability consultancy team before returning to her forte, design management.

As project co-ordinator for the design of the original Millennium Dome, Tanya led a team of up to 40 engineers, as well as adopting a client and press liaison role. More recently, Tanya worked as project director for the development of the O2 Arena.

The design management team provides leadership on complex engineering design projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring a cohesive service to Buro Happold’s clients across the world. As business manager in Bath, Tanya is responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful running of our operations, integrating corporate systems and managing around 75 business services staff who support the region’s work.
