Rob Akerman joined Buro Happold in 2000, with 17 years experience in civil engineering, covering both public and private sector consultancy work. Rob has been a member of the design team for a number of major projects. One of his main responsibilities is for the coordination and management of work carried out by Buro Happold on behalf of Dorset County Council. This has included the A354/C6 roundabout junction, Shaftesbury town centre traffic calming, West Bay village enhancement, the A30 Shaftesbury bypass design review, and numerous highway junction improvements and footway schemes.
