Richard Marshall

Richard Marshall joined Buro Happold as a structural engineer in 1997, but since 2006 he has worked as technical director in Dubai. He has extensive design experience in various countries, working in New Zealand, Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the UK, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the US. Specifically responsible for tall buildings and seismic design, his expertise is utilised in New York and the UK as well as the Middle East.
Richard has led various projects, including the ongoing design of the landmark 37-storey headquarters office tower in Abu Dhabi, built for a large Middle East-based company. He was also responsible for the peer review of a 128-storey spire project in Chicago.
