Patrick Smallbone, a chartered engineer with over 25 years experience in the engineering and construction industries, joined Buro Happold’s Bath office in 2001 to develop facilities management services as a core discipline.

Patrick has worked on many high profile projects, providing the team with a range of technical and practical skills, supported by experience and a broad knowledge that covers all aspects of building engineering from design through to operations, maintenance and strategic property management.

Buro Happold’s facilities management consultancy utilises a wide range of in-house knowledge and experience to bring added value and functionality to the built environment. Facilities management involves the provision of agreed levels of quality support services at an appropriate cost to meet a client’s commercial needs. The aim is to allow occupants to concentrate on their core activities by managing the essential, yet peripheral, business of operating, running and maintaining a building.
