John Morrison, a chartered engineer with over 30 years’ experience, is one of the founding principals of Buro Happold. Having retired at the end of 2005, his vast experience is still brought to bear on the practice in his role as a consultant.

Over the years, John has led a number of high profile projects, including Le Royal Hotel and the Sheraton Hotel projects in Jordan, the Queensberry House office building in London, Vodafone headquarters in Newbury and the Tsim Sha Tsui Cultural Centre in Hong Kong.

He has also been involved in expert witness commissions, including the investigation into reasons for cracks in the concrete floors of a basement car park in Beirut, and the investigation into the collapse of an acoustic ceiling shortly after the completion of a cinema.
