David Stribling joined Buro Happold’s Glasgow office in 2001, with experience in the application of dynamic thermal modelling (DTM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in environmental and building services applications. David is currently responsible for computer simulation work. The objective of this is to optimise the conceptual design and to deliver robust but energy efficient solutions.

David has worked on various projects, including the BBC White City project to develop a site in West London to provide offices, production facilities and music studios.

Buro Happold’s specialist analysis group, CoSA Solutions, is able to quantify the future performance of a building whilst still in its design stages. Using sophisticated 3D computer simulations and modelling, factors such as external wind effects, thermal and environmental performance, energy consumption, internal airflow and fire and smoke movement are analysed.
