Pott Architects’ work showcased at Architecture: Where to
Buro Happold continues its exhibition series on the future of architecture with the launch of a display by Pott Architects.
Pott Architects’ exhibit opens in the foyer of Buro Happold’s London office on Tuesday 27 March and will run until Friday 20 April. It is the second instalment in the Architecture: Where to series, following a successful opening exhibit by m2r-architecture.
Throughout 2007, Buro Happold is showcasing a range of work from some of the industry’s most forward-thinking architectural practices who are influencing the changing spaces and places of tomorrow. The exhibition is based around themes such as sustainability, integrated design and urban renewal, and highlights many of the key drivers informing the work of a new wave of British architects.
The latest exhibit again picks up the theme of Cross Borders – concepts of a unified Europe/world, with visitors invited to look at some of Pott Architects’ latest multi-disciplinary projects in Germany, Spain, Russia and Georgia.
Buro Happold Group Director, Wolf Mangelsdorf, said: “Buro Happold is pleased to support young architecture practices, such as Pott Architects, who have demonstrated a flair for creative vision and cutting edge design.
“Together we are exploring new routes and challenging new ideas, bound by the philosophy that good design results from the fusion of engineering and architecture. Architecture: Where to is shaping up to be a fascinating event.”
Architecture: Where to is based on four themes, with each showcasing three architects and concluding with a debating forum. The other themes are Changing Communities – does architecture have the power?; Engineered Architecture – approaches to integrated design; and Sustainability in Architecture – what are the real drivers?
The opening theme of Cross Borders will conclude with an exhibit by OBR Associated Architects from Monday 23 April to Friday 11 May.
