Buro Happold has appointed Ian Booth to develop the practice’s Building Services group within the Central Europe region.
Based in Warsaw, Ian joined the international multi-disciplinary engineering consultants as Building Services Director on June 1. He will be responsible for the growing portfolio of projects across the region for which Buro Happold delivers building services expertise.
Ian brings 18 years’ experience in building services engineering to the role, having worked on a wide range of projects across the industrial, commercial, retail and residential sectors. He also has an in-depth knowledge of the region after working in Poland for the last seven years and project-managing major developments in Poland and Russia.
Buro Happold’s well-established offices in Berlin and Warsaw are ideally located for carrying out projects throughout Germany, Poland and Central Europe. Projects ranging from masterplanning and city infrastructure systems to multi-disciplinary engineering design of buildings are ongoing in Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Georgia. The practice’s regional portfolio of projects includes Liberty Corner and Saski Crescent in Warsaw, Universal Music Headquarters in Berlin, GE Healthcare Headquarters in Munich and White Square Office Center in Moscow.
