Buro Happold supports ‘Building Sustainable Schools’ conference

Tuesday 20 November, Whitehall Court London

Following the recent publication of the Education and Skills Select Committee report – ‘Sustainable Schools; Are we building schools for the future?’ Buro Happold is supporting a one day conference to discuss the report and look at the way forward.

The conference will open at 9.25am on 20 November in the Whitehall Suite, 1 Whitehall Place, 2 Whitehall Court, London, bringing together key stakeholders, thought leaders and policy makers.

The conference will discuss the future of learning, with an emphasis on learning spaces, the use of ICT, carbon neutral schools and their role in the wider community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore and evaluate how the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme has been implemented in its initial stages.

A panel of experts including senior officials from the government and civil service, representatives from local authorities and secondary schools that took part in the first part of the BSF programme, leading industry experts and construction company members will give presentations as well as being available for questions.
