Buro Happold is delighted to announce that five Glasgow based staff are being promoted in recognition of their contribution and achievements within the practice.
Buro Happold regional director Rod Manson comments: "The Glasgow office portfolio has expanded over the last few years and these promotions are indicative of the level of contribution made by each one of the promoted staff. The office has almost seventy staff based in Glasgow, working in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Denmark and Norway, and our multi-discipline teams have grown to meet the needs”

Allan Follett, who has 14 years experience in the field of Building Services Engineering, is now an Associate with the practice. He has worked on a wide range of new-build and refurbishment projects in the public and private sectors. Allan’s engineering experience covers design and maintenance of services in arts, commercial, healthcare, industrial, recreation and retail projects. He currently leads the Buro Happold teams working on the Borders Schools projects, Inverclyde Framework agreement and the University of Edinburgh Potterrow development.
Three structural engineers are also being promoted.
Tom Hay becomes a Senior Engineer. His experience of practicing both as a structural engineer and an architect, makes Tom a valuable team member in multi-disciplinary projects. His particular interest is in sustainable building methods and integrated design.
Adrian Taylor has achieved Senior Engineer status. Adrian has worked on a wide range of new-build and refurbishment projects. He interested in masonry and timber construction forms, both new and historic, and is experienced in designing mainstream steel and concrete framing systems. He has undertaken masonry research projects with the University of Paisley and Building Research Establishment( BRE).
Geoff Crow is promoted to Engineer. Geoff carries out analysis, design and liaison with project design teams. Recent projects that Geoff has been involved with are Skyliner at Leith Waterfront, Glenturret Visitor Centre for the Famous Grouse Distilleries, Syddansk University in Denmark, Campbeltown & Kintyre Community Project, and Anchor Mills in Paisley.
Separately, David Froggatt becomes a Disability Design Consultant. David has worked as a disability advisor on projects including Historic Scotland’s estate, the Scottish Parliament and the National Trust for Scotland. In addition to Dumfries Theatre Royal and The Unicorn Children’s Theatre, he has worked on public spaces and residential developments. David is a Part One member of the National Register of Access Consultants and is working towards full consultant membership.
