Buro Happold’s Disability Design Consultancy has appointed Richard Kuppusamy, BArch (Hons) DipArch MArch RIBA, as a Senior Access Consultant.
Through his extensive knowledge and experience in integrating the requirements of disabled people within the built and surrounding environments, Richard will further enhance the capability of the already established team and will be based in the Buro Happold London office from July. Richard, a graduate of the Mackintosh School of Architecture, University of Glasgow has worked in fields of architecture and disability design for 10 years. He is a regular contributor to research papers and publications and is actively involved in delivering workshops and seminars on the impact of the Disability Discrimination Act.
Margaret Hickish, Head of Disability Design at Buro Happold comments “Richard is an important addition to the DDC and brings a great depth of experience. Initially he will be ensuring the inclusive design solutions for the new Arsenal Emirates Stadium, as well as for our ongoing work with Historic Scotland and Barking Town Centre.”
Richard’s previous project experience includes the BBC Scotland Headquarters, Pacific Quay Glasgow and Dalkeith Schools Community Campus.
