Buro Happold Launch Infrastructure and Environment Group in the North of England

Buro Happold Infrastructure Transport and Environment Group (ITE) has launched a dedicated service for the north of England, based in the practice’s Leeds and Manchester offices. The service is led by Director Simon Wainwright and Senior ITE Engineer Adam Harris.

Buro Happold ITE is already an established contributor to landmark projects in the north of England, including the Clarence Dock in Leeds and the Health and Safety Executive Development in Liverpool. The new satellite service will enable projects with a northern focus to access this specialist infrastructure and transport expertise more readily.

Simon Wainwright comments, ”Infrastructure and transport affect us all through our everyday experiences, particularly within the urban landscape. Increasingly the focus is on ensuring the environment within which development work takes place is improved as a result.

“Issues are often complex and inter-related, and our team’s skill and experience enables us to provide an integrated approach to projects alongside building engineering groups. The relocation of Adam Harris, who for the past two years has worked for Buro Happold on major projects in the South East, is a direct result of the increased interest in our specialist expertise in this region. We have a clear focus for strategic infrastructure and transportation work, providing the required understanding for process and engineering of the complex urban sites that frequently exist.”
