Buro Happold engineer represents England at the 2002 World Kickboxing Championships in Italy
Buro Happold engineer Robert Ndure, is to represent England in the World Kickboxing Association’s World Championships in the Semi-Contact, Senior Male -80kg division. The competition takes place in the Massa Carrara Province of Italy from the 20-28 August.
Consulting engineers Buro Happold will sponsor Robert, who is from Leeds, to attend the event and the firm has given him time off in the weeks leading up to the event to fit in some extra training time.
‘I have been training hard for this competition, up to seven times a week, ‘ says Robert. ‘I came third in the British Championships in March, which ensured me a place in the World Championships, but I am aiming to beat this position in Italy. Buro Happold has been very supportive and I am really grateful for the firm’s sponsorship and encouragement.’
21 year old Robert is a 2nd Dan Black Belt and his previous wins include the British Championships, English Championships, Yorkshire Grand Championships, Combat Champion and numerous Regional, Local and Open Titles.
