Buro Happold Building Services in Cardiff

Buro Happold, the multi-disciplinary consultancy, announced yesterday that it has set up a Building Services capability in its Cardiff office to supplement the consultancy’s already established Structural Engineering activities. The service was launched at a reception in Cardiff attended by Sue Essex, Welsh Minister for the Environment.  The building services team is headed up by associate Paul Steele whose extensive experience includes the healthcare and education markets.

Peter Moseley, Buro Happold partner responsible for the Cardiff office, commented, “In establishing this Building Services team in Cardiff, we will strengthen our capability and be able to provide a wider range of services, to meet the requirements of the very active Welsh construction community.”

Buro Happold has extensive experience of working in Wales over the past 20 years, with involvement in the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth, Techniquest in Cardiff and The Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales. The Cardiff office opened in 1999 and since then has been involved in several prestigious projects, including being appointed to provide Civil, Structural and M+E Services to North Glamorgan Trust for the design of a new ward block at the Prince Charles Hospital and the construction of a new visitor centre at Caerphilly Castle.
