Building the Biggest: Skyscrapers

As part of a series of three documentaries, “Building the biggest,” Eddie Pugh, partner, Buro Happold, is followed by a documentary crew on site in Riyadh, during the last hectic months of the construction of Al Faisaliah. The Channel 4 programme explores the issues surrounding the construction of a skyscraper, and captures the pressures, complexities and demanding schedules of the construction management of one of the tallest buildings to ever be built in the Middle East.

Al Faisaliah, the enormous skyscraper with associated hotel, shopping mall, underground banqueting and car park, is the ambitious joint venture between Foster and Partners and Buro Happold that has changed the Riyadh skyline.
