Established in 1999, the Manchester office continues to grow, with staff covering the principal disciplines of civil, structural, building services and fire engineering. In addition, we have an in-house access consultant and through the practices specialist groups we are able to provide specialist engineering input to projects including, geotechnical and contamination consultancy, façade engineering, building physics and lighting technologies.

Principally working within the north west we are able to provide a detailed knowledge of the area in relation to engineering design whilst offering the full engineering experience and expertise of Buro Happold.

Our involvement in many projects begins at site appraisal stage in which we are able to provide geotechnical, contamination, highways/transportation and infrastructure appraisals for possible development of brown field and inner city development sites. We are further involved in a variety of projects at all stages, from site appraisal to master-planning, in conversions of existing buildings to residential, office and retail as well as new build projects.
