Since establishing our New York office in 1999, Buro Happold’s growing reputation for innovative design has led to a rapid expansion of our project portfolio in the United States. To increase our presence in the US still further – and provide a better service to our clients – Buro Happold has recently opened a new office in Los Angeles. This important development gives us the opportunity to develop new client relationships in the city and around the flourishing west coast region.

Staffed by an experienced multi-disciplinary team, the Los Angeles office can provide a full range of structural, MEP and infrastructure engineering services across all major sectors. To support our core disciplines, we are able to draw on the specialist resources of Buro Happold’s worldwide network when required. Our thorough understanding of the local market and regulatory environment enables us to develop appropriate solutions for a wide range of developments.

A growing awareness of the economic and social benefits of sustainable design has led to an increasing demand in the US for energy-efficient buildings that aspire to be different. As a result of its expertise in environmental engineering, Buro Happold has been involved in many high profile projects throughout the US, such as the Institute of Peace in Washington DC, the Dallas opera house and Genzyme HQ in Boston – one of a handful of buildings to have been awarded the coveted LEED platinum rating.
